Her elder sisters Shakti Mohan and Mukti Mohan have been known in the creative world by winning Dance India Dance on Zee TV and in Zara Nachke Dikha on Star Plus respectively. She was also the cadet of NCC during her college days and participated in a number of activities in it as well.
She graduated from Miranda House in New Delhi in philosophy and even worked as a dance instructor during her college days. She went to Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, and Rajasthan for her schooling, and then headed to Delhi to her graduation. She hails from Rajasthan wherein she was born and brought up.
